The first criterion is need of immobilisation for foot and ankle injuries.
-Ankle sprains or non deplaced fractures with important hematoma or edema which will be treated later by splints or walking boots.
-Large wound that need to be protected
-Ankle and foot fractures during screening by X-ray, cat-scan or MRI or before surgical treatment : the device has no metallic part, facilitating this explorations without artefacts.
– The device can be easily opened if it is too tight, or if it is necessary to check the condition of the skin, or to look for vascular or nerve complications
